LCD (Liquid Crystak Display) projectors have traditionally displayed rich color saturation and images sharpness on the market. To display iamges, LCD projectors typically send light from a metal-halide lamp through a prism or series of dichroic filters that separates of the video signals. As polarized light passes through the panels (combination of polarizer, LCD panel and analyzer), individual pixels can be opened to allow light to pass or closed to block the light. The combination of open and closed pixels can produce a wide range of colors and shades in the projected image.
Someone may ask the LCD and DLP projectors, which one is better? Actually, neither one is better than the other. They both have advantages over the other, and they both have limitations.
